Featuring: The internationally exhibited Danish artist Mie Olise in her Copenhagen Atelier. Mie Olise works daily on her large-scale paintings. With a background in architecture her motives often tell a story relating to architectural themes, revealing her fascination with abandoned places and buildings, desolate structures, shipwrecks and bridges. We explore: The studio is an old classic high ceiling 80m2 studio space in the center of Copenhagen next to the Nikolaj Church. The studio has a relaxed atmosphere, simply decorated with a colorful Kelim carpet, a classic Danish work desk from the 50´s and a leather butter fly chair from where you can lean back and take in the space and the art. Mie Olise’s recent and upcoming exhibitions include “The Silent Station” Kunsthallen Nikolaj - Copenhagen, “Dilapidated Constructions” Kunsthalle Philara - Dusseldorf, “Discontinued Monuments” Museo de Arte Acariqua, Venezuela.
