Featuring: Flemming Skude, Architect. The home: Summerhouse, built for Flemming and his family about 20 years ago. The house consists practically of two large shells that meet in a huge light intake. There are shutters on each end of the house which makes a most excellent striped light, but also made so that they can open in and out, and in that way create shade where needed. Rødby, Lolland, Denmark. The style: The architecture creates an entirely unique space indoors. All walls are covered with wood inside; it gives a true holiday atmosphere. The kitchen is kept only in wood, and built by a local craftsman on site. With time, all the woodwork got a beautiful patina. The house special architecture makes the emergence of fine small triangular spaces which is used for shelves in both the kitchen and the small office.
