Featuring: A young architect couple with three kids.The home: Originally the housing in Nyboder, Copenhagen, was built under the reign of King Christian IV to house the sailors in his navy. Since then the area has been owned by the military. Only now the latest housing in Nyboder, which was built from 1886-1893 has been sold off, and is being converted into private homes. When the young architect couple took over house, it was merely a ruin. A thorough renovation was needed. Since this was a historic building they renovated keeping the old wooden floors and ceiling beams, and recycled the old wooden doors and beautiful doorframes. The style: Lots of young original Art meets classical Danish design in the interior of this unique historic house. The walls ore covered with bookshelves and decorated with original art by the likes of British artist David Shirley and Danish artist Tal R.
