Featuring: Kerstin (63), who works for Sweden’s United Film Studios, and her husband Kjell-Åke Andersson (65), who works as a film director, scriptwriter, and film photographer. The home: An old forge, transformed into a unique house. It is located in Östra Hoby, Skåne, Sweden. Before/after pictures are available in the feature. The style: An old forge, two creative souls. This home is result of creativity. Kerstin and Kjell-Åke decided to transform an old forge into a spacious home. Interior-wise, they decided to stay true to the building’s history and keep the rustic and raw feel by using concrete, iron and rubble, maintaining as much of the forge's original floor plan as possible. The combination of old features, like the original floor plan, and newer features, like the colors of the cabinets in the kitchen, creates the perfect balance between the past and the present.
