Featuring: The Fritillaria family has the most beautiful members. These almost checkered patterned flowers are uniquely beautiful with their nodding flower heads in stunning burgundy, purple and yellow colors.The flower: Fritillaries are bulbs with wonderfully nodding flowers that blossom during April and May. The most well-known Fritillaria flower is Fritillaria meleagris also known as snake’s head or chess flower. This and many other varieties, like Fritillaria michailovskyi, Fritillaria uva-vulpis and Fritillaria persica, are shown in this feature.
