Featuring: The detached 255m2 home of interior designer Nora and architect Stian Hagfors (both 41), and their sons Victor (10) and Markus (6)The Home: He is an architect, she an interior designer. Together, they shared a dream, a plot, and a sense of art. Since they are both masters in their own craft, it had been a dream to find a plot where they could work together to build something of their own that suited their wishes and needs. The couple wanted to build as large as the zoning plan allowed, and the shape of the house then became: Rectangular. Two floors, basement, with a flat roof and a garden. The Style: The style itself is not as easy to define. It is not exactly super-modern and yet it has roots in modernism. The concrete wall that extends from the basement to the second floor gives the home wholeness, rawness, and strength. The art collection in the home is eclectic but curated with intent. In many homes modern Nordic photography and African sculpture wouldn’t work, but here they combine perfectly.
