Featuring: The home of the owners of Jäll and Tofta, a furniture and interior design business, Sina Gwosdzik (41) and Jakob Dannenfeldt (40), and their two sons Jasper (11) and Matteo (8)The Home: The family lives in a 100 square meter apartment building from 1919 in Kreuzberg, Berlin. They lived in the old apartment with stucco and classic details, since 2008. Much has changed since then. Since then they removed the old wallpaper and painted around 20 different colors on the walls before settling on a color. They use their home as a testing ground for their new ideas. Here, they play with their new designs like a kid on a playground. The Style: They used their sight for smart design and added many, tailor-made solutions to utilize the corners and small areas. They painted the dark wooden floorboards white to help light up the rooms. The result is a highly personal design language. The couple combines the modern expression in their own design with vintage elements and objects with history.
