Featuring: Søren and Anders, a young creative Danish couple who lives in the US, have a summer home in Denmark to escape the hectic L. A. lifestyle. In addition, Søren runs an interior shop in Los Angeles “Interior by Birk” in which he sells furniture and Danish photography.The Home: A 94 m2 holiday home built in 2019, located in Jægerspris, a town in the northern part of the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark.The style: The couple’s home is a carefully curated blend of modern Nordic design, versatile open-concept living, and American West Coast influences. Throughout the house, Industrial style references and materials such as steel and iron are mixed with light wood and elements of Danish furniture design - a nod to the couple’s Scandinavian heritage. Large windows, a sloped roof, and high ceilings make the house feel light and inviting all year round.
