Featuring: The wooden 240sqm Holiday family home of cabinet maker Troels Scheel and interior décor designer Anja BlinkenbergThe Home: In a small town in Sweden on a hill there once stood a dilapidated house, but Troels and Anja saw its potential. From the road, the house still looks like the classic big house it was, although now it is as black as tar. Here, the couple has lived out their own ideas about more modern architecture in combination with the original. The Style: The home is completely submerged in nature to feel like an escape from city life. From the back, the house is reminiscent of a converted barn, the choice with the black windows is deliberate so they almost disappear into the facade. Its dark exterior is contrasted with its bright modern interior where everything is illuminated.
