Featuring: The home of Interior design student Silje Gården Lian (32) At Byåsen in TrondheimThe Home: Silje’s 1947 home was a complete renovation project. It was already brought down to the bare bones and she loved the idea of having a blank slate that she could rebuild by hand. Her favorite room in the whole house is the downstairs bathroom that has been enlarged. The walls and floors are made of micro-cement, raw and beautiful at the same time. The Style: Silje is fascinated with Japanese building customs and aesthetics. The simple and pure speaks to her. The home reflects this with earth tones, ceramics, and natural materials creating a peaceful subdued environment.
