Featuring: Holiday home designed and built by Karin Parbst and her then-husband, Aqqalooraq Frederiksen in Veddinge Bakker. The House: When trained carpenter Karin Parbst and her family wanted a holiday home, she naturally did it herself. Once the land was found and purchased, the family chose to gather building materials based on a few simple principles; as much recycling as possible, as many organically produced materials as possible, and as cheaply as possible. The Style: The house was filled with flea market finds and a few inherited items. The Stove is the only item purchased brand new. The Roof has a beautiful geometric slope, rising the walls like the sail of a boat.
