Featuring: The family 80 sqm cottage of Elizabeth Matre-Aas and Ole Kristian Aas in Sjusjøen, NorwayThe Cabin: The couple purchased the cabin to give their children access to nature and skiing. The cabin is not far from the family’s home in Oslo, making it perfect for weekend getaways. They customized the layout for their family so the family room is separated from the bedrooms, and the children's bedrooms are close to the parent’s. Five years later, it has become a way of life.The Style: The family has created a place to exhale. The design of the space is traditional, Norwegian cabin style. They use black frames and accents to give the cabin a rougher feeling than scandi white. Connection is as important as design to this family, which is why they surround themselves with nature and second and furniture.
