Featuring: We get to follow Carolina and Henrik's renovation journey to update the standard 1950s kitchen and create a home for the family with a kitchen as a focal point. The Kitchen: We get a rare before-and-after look at kitchen renovation in a 1920s apartment building. Once their kitchen was the smallest room in the home but it was their dream to make it the room where they would all gather. The kitchen is made of solid wood and completely designed according to the family's wishes and drawings, including the large opening with custom windows between the kitchen and living room. The Style: The kitchen has a unique aesthetic where it feels modern and traditional at the same time. White cabinets and beige walls help make the room with minimal windows feel open, while the green countertop and back splash, and the windows in the arched entrance help to give the space character and a touch of modernity.
