Featuring: Tachella and Freek’s renovated townhouse in the heart of Nijmegen, Netherlands. The Home: Tachella and Freek, along with their children Laurant, Raf, and Beau, recently moved back to Nijmegen’s city center after four years in a new development across the bridge. Their love for the historic townhouse, originally built in 1903, was reignited when it reappeared on the market at a reduced price. The 220 sqm home, with its authentic elements like high ceilings, a spacious garden, en-suite doors, original fireplaces, and stained glass bay windows, required a complete renovation. The family lived elsewhere for nine months while extensive work was carried out, including foundation repairs, layout reconfiguration, and a new kitchen extension at the back. The boys' attic floor, where they sleep and play, was personally renovated by Tachella and Freek. The Style: Tachella and Freek’s home is a harmonious blend of various styles, from classic and modern to a touch of rustic, yet always maintaining a calm and balanced atmosphere. Their eclectic approach results in a stylish, cohesive space that reflects their unique tastes and the historic charm of the property.
