Featuring: Katy and Rolf's transformed church home in the Netherlands. The Home: Once a dilapidated Catholic church from 1871, this 295 m² heritage building has been carefully converted into a modern family home. Since purchasing it in 2017, Katy and Rolf have taken on a full-scale renovation—initially making the space livable and then tackling each room one by one. The structure, though granted residential status, required serious attention: crumbling masonry, missing glazing, and structural damage. The exterior was restored in consultation with local authorities, respecting its protected status as a municipal monument. The Style: A bold blend of modern design, vintage finds, and architectural heritage. Katy, who runs her own design firm, brought a creative and personal vision to the project. Inside, classic design pieces and contemporary materials sit comfortably alongside original church features.
