Featuring: Justine, a design-driven project manager and mother of two, living with her husband Jean-Philippe and their daughters in a modern, three-story townhouse in Malmö.The Home: Located in the creative district of Västra Sorgenfri, this thoughtfully designed 160-square-meter townhouse was created by the innovative architecture studio Förstberg Ling. Known for their bold use of raw materials and spatial clarity, the architects designed a home that balances urban edge with family warmth. Spread over three floors, the home combines concrete flooring, exposed brick, and untreated wood. At its heart is a custom-built safety net—suspended between two levels—that acts as a playful indoor hammock for lounging or climbing. The Style: Though the family has French roots, the interior is rooted in Scandinavian simplicity with a personal twist. Justine embraces clean lines, natural textures, and a soft, muted palette, allowing the home’s raw materials to shine. Design icons are thoughtfully mixed with IKEA pieces and personal items brought from France—ceramics, artwork, and books that tell their own story. The result is a calm yet character-rich home—Scandinavian living with a French soul.
