Original perennials have been coaxed back to life, forming a lush, flowering ‘hedge’ around a gravelled courtyard and shallow pond. A former smithy has been reinvented as a glassy gathering space, and a DIY veranda now seamlessly bridges house and garden with built-in planting.The Style: Hands-on, heartfelt, and beautifully personal. Romantic cottage-garden planting meets structured lines, with generous DIY features like deep stairs that double as seating, a modern outdoor kitchen, and softening planting boxes. The garden is filled with a joyful mix of boll thistle, sneezeweed, yarrow, Shasta daisies, catmint, irises, autumn anemones, phlox, hydrangeas, and heritage roses—all thriving thanks to home-made bokashi compost.
