Featuring: The 1899 rebuilt wooden house of Insa Flechsler and Truls Eriksen in Rodeløkka, OsloThe House: Insa and Truls were searching for a brick house, instead, they landed on a wooden house with a long history. The building had originally been a stable for the rectory, then it became a chemical dry cleaning and dyeing, and most recently, an office. The home had rot issues and needed to be rebuilt. With the help of architect Harald Lode, they reconstructed the house in its original image while customizing the interior. The Style: The couple had the interior designed to be an open and airy home, inspired by the lofts in New York City. The simple materials used, steel, pine, and concrete, give it a modern industrial style.
