Featuring: Here lives photographer Tia Borgsmidt, her husband Morten, and the children Mathilde and Oscar. The Home: When photographer Tia Borgsmidt and her family took over the mansion in Frederiksberg, most rooms could be uplifted with a new layer of paint. The kitchen was last renovated in the '90s. It was worn out and offered limited space and natural light. During the renovation, they knocked down a wall to create a cozy dining space for their family. They uncovered a large window that fills the room with light and original wooden floors that have been painted. The Style: The kitchen is now bright and cozy. It’s a mix of old and new solutions from restored cabinet doors to a new pantry and dining area. The light gray tone chosen for the walls adds warmth but still provides a discreet simplicity.
