Featuring: The industrial brick home of Annemieke & Joost with sons Bodhi, Hidde, and baby Ravie in Ede, The Netherlands. The house: In need of more space for their growing family, Annemieke & Joost decided to leave their Amsterdam home behind. So when they heard about a new, hip neighborhood in Ede, they immediately researched it and discovered a renovated old Enka factory site had everything they needed. Annemieke and Joost settled in a brick house with an authentic 1920s façade. The front of the building has characteristic factory windows, which are now kitchen windows, and it is the only original feature that remains. The rest of the building, approximately 170m2, has been newly constructed. The style: The newly constructed home was designed to be sustainable, luxurious, and child-friendly, with an abundance of nature-inspired colors and materials.
