Featuring: The small home of Jeanine Langendijk in the Dutch village of Poortvliet. The Home: The house was built in 1947 after a stray V-1 bomb fell on the street during the Second World War. The home still has some of its original 1950s details, such as its charming paneled doors. Fourteen years ago, Jeanine downsized into this home. The fact that she was only renting did not stop her from painting and wallpapering the place and turning it personal home. It was a relief when, about six years ago, Jeanine was able to buy the house from the rental company and really go wild with the interiors. The Style: Jeanine loves her furniture and décor to be soulful and tell as story. Second-hand finds and family heirlooms blend in seamlessly with more contemporary pieces, creating a cohesive and inviting home.
