Featuring: Lisette and Joachim's house in Zeist, the Netherlands.The House: In 2019, Lisette and Joachim bought this 107-sqm semi-detached house in Zeist, originally built in 1927. With no prior remodeling experience, the couple embarked on a major renovation with the help of a contractor. They began by adding underfloor heating and replacing the windows with glass with a higher insulation value. In general, the focus of the renovation was creating a more energy-efficient household. They also opened up the kitchen and added a kitchen island.The Style: The couple have chosen a minimalist, contemporary style with a neutral base in warm white and beige tones accompanied by bolder pops of colour, such as the black kitchen, blue sofa, and many green plants.
