Featuring: The 1972 brick and wood-paneled 200 sqm home of Marlene Fenger Vedal and Jon Vedal in OsloThe Home: In 2015, the Vedals became the owners of this 70s brick home. It reminded Marlene of her grandmother’s house and made her feel immediately at home. However, the inside looked like someone was trying to turn it into a Swiss villa. They took their time and changed the layout maximizing the space. To make the ceiling appear higher, she incorporated vertical lines to accentuate the architectural elements. The Style: Interior design is Marlene’s profession, but she has learned that you have to make the inside fit your family’s needs, and the rest will fall into place. Most of her projects have a big budget, but for her home, she wanted it to feel modest and welcoming.
